At 27 October 2020 I learned a lot about constructivism theory by Jerome Bruner. In this theory, teacher as the conductor of class, they give stimulus and let the student do research about something. After students doing research, they will exchange information.

This theory also explain that experience is important because from experience, students can construct new ideas. Teacher has important role as the motivator because motivation also important to construct new ideas.

This theory is popular in school, my lecturer said that this theory old but gold. Because although it is an old theory, it always getting better and better. When I am on senior high school, some of my teacher use this theory. In my opinion, they might have two reason why use this. First, because they want their student doing research of the material by themselves, and applying K13. In my experience, doing research by myself makes me more understand the materials. It just like we build the foundation, then my teacher gives explanation to make sure our thought is correct or not, and it just like perfects our thoughts

And the second reason, maybe my teacher know that we need some refreshing. In my opinion, refreshing can make us found motivation then construct new idea. So it would make my mind being fresh again and I can understand the other materials clear. Or maybe they do not have any idea to explain, so they just give us topic and let us doing research. But not all of my teacher like that, and I hope there are less teachers like that, so we can be productive and use our time effectively.
